Climate
The Hawaiian Island's weather is very consistent, with only moderate changes in temperature throughout the year.

There are only 2 seasons: the summer months (called Kau in Hawaiian) that extend from May to October and the winter months (Ho'oilo) that run from November to April.

The average daytime summer temperature at sea level is 85 degrees F. (29.4 C) while the average daytime winter temperature is 78 degrees (25.6 C).

Transportation
United States has a vast network of well-maintained roads and highways. Explore some of the most beautiful road touring in the world. Americans drive on the right-hand side of the road, with the steering wheel located on the left-hand side of the car.

The maximum speed limit in cities and towns is 45 miles per hour.

On country roads and highways, the maximum speed is usually 75 miles per hour.

Strict drink-driving laws apply and random breath testing is common practice.

The law requires drivers and passengers to wear seat belts at all times. Motorcycle riders and cyclists must wear a helmet at all times.

An international visitor may drive in United States on a valid overseas driver's license for the same class of vehicle. Make sure you carry your license when driving. If your license is not in English, you must carry a translation. An international driver's permit is not sufficient by itself and must be accompanied by a valid driver's permit.

Dining in Hawaii is truly a unique adventure. This is the crossroads of the Pacific where cultural influences from around the world have converged to create a blend of cuisines unlike any other found on earth. New terms like Pacific Rim and Hawaii Regional Cuisine have been coined to describe some of the various culinary spins. Beyond the neo-fusion experience lays the roots of it all where you'll find an amazing variety of authentic ethnic eateries. Then, there's the Hawaiian Everyman's favorite that islanders simply call Local Food.

Hiking through Hawaii’s lush rainforests... Lounging on a secluded beach... Cruising down a volcano on a mountain bike at top speed... These are just a few of the myriad of activities you can do while in Hawaii - The Islands of Aloha. From catching a sunset sail on a balmy, tropical evening to hitting the ski slopes at Mauna Kea crater, Hawaii offers activities to please each individual. You can snorkel, hike, explore and catch an afternoon luau (feast) all in one day. The choice is yours. All you have to do is figure out what you want to do while on vacation in Hawaii. Then again, you may want to do nothing at all.
