Welcome to Premium Plus Sports
For more than 15 years, Premium Plus Sports (PPS) has been offering exclusive and efficient travel services and resources designed specifically for the multi-sports traveler.  As a company, Premium Plus Sports strives to not only provide athletes with a great race experience, but a total destination adventure.  All travel packages include a comprehensive list of services designed to enhance the athlete travel experience.  In the course of day-to-day operations, we are frequently asked questions regarding travel and the services offered.  For your convenience, we’ve listed those questions and the answers below.

Do you travel to all multi-sport events?

No. PPS specializes in travel from the U.S. and Canada to international destinations and select U.S. locations. Our featured events are listed at www.premiumplus-sports.com. If you are interested in an event not listed on our site, we can guide you to the proper resources.

I called your office to receive pricing information, but got your voicemail what should I do?

The most expeditious way of securing pricing information is to complete a booking request at www.premiumplus-sports.com. You will receive package prices via e-mail within three business days.

If I complete a booking request on your website, am I obligated to purchase a travel package?

No, completing the booking request does not obligate you to purchase a package from PPS. It does, however, allow us to provide you with an accurate quote specific to your travel needs.

How long does it take to receive a quote for a travel package?

PPS will provide a quote within three business days when booking requests are submitted via the PPS web site. Airfare and land package prices will be provided separately.

How far in advance should I book my ticket?

It is best to put in your travel request as soon as possible.  PPS keeps comprehensive data on airfares to their partner events.  Based on this data, we are able to advise our clients when to purchase airline tickets. However, airfares are not guaranteed until tickets are purchased.

When should I plan on arriving/How long of a stay should I book?

If you are traveling to an international event, we recommend arriving four days prior to race day and departing the day after the awards ceremony. For example, if the race is being held on a Saturday, you should plan to arrive on the Tuesday before to allow yourself time to acclimate to your surroundings.

How long can I hold my airline reservation before booking my ticket?

The airfares provided by PPS are not guaranteed until they are purchased.  The deadline to purchase tickets is generally falls within 3 to 14 days after making the flight reservation.  If tickets are not purchased by the deadline date, flight reservations are subject to cancellation by the airline.

I have submitted a booking request, received pricing and would now like to purchase a package. What do I do?

In order to confirm your travel package, you must provide a non-refundable deposit.  The amount of this deposit is provided with your travel quote.  Please complete the credit card authorization form and fax it to us at 312-264-5495.

I would like to book a package, but I am unable to provide a lump sum payment.  What are my options?

PPS will work out payment plans to accommodate budgets with restrictions.  However, all packages must be paid in full prior to departure.

I have booked my travel package, now what?

Once you have booked your package and provided the non-refundable deposit, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.  Additional information will be sent via e-mail or posted on the PPS site.  No paper tickets will be issued unless required by the airline.

I have booked my trip, but need to change aspects of my travel, what do I do?

Any changes to an already existing itinerary must be submitted in writing by either fax or e-mail.

I am interested in purchasing a package, but I am not interested in all of the activities, will you adjust the pricing?

Prices for packages have been negotiated to provide the best pricing possible; therefore we will not issue discounts or refunds for services not used.

Do all packages contain economy class tickets, or can I upgrade to business or first class?

As part of the services we offer, PPS negotiates special first, business and economy class airfares for its clientele. Travelers can select the package that best meets their requirements.

What type of accommodations do you provide at the events?

Accommodations at all events are conveniently located to race sites.  PPS uses the following criteria in selecting accommodations:  location, three-star rating or better, amenities offered, as well as friendliness and attentiveness of staff.

Is it possible to book just a room for a couple of nights?

In many cases, hotels are aware of the demand for rooms during major events and do not usually see a need to provide a “deal” for hotel stays.  Due to our business, PPS is able to negotiate special rates based on minimum nights stay which is typically between 5-7 nights.  In some cases, we are able to provide stays for less than the minimum required; however, those rooms are subject to a higher rate.

Do you provide travel packages with specific departure and return dates only?

In addition to our inclusive (air, hotel and more) packages which offer the best value, we also offer land only and air only services.  Our packages are designed to provide a complete race experience. Our team researches the race week schedule so that athletes can be part of the mandatory activities, such as registration, bike check-in and pre-race meetings, as well as the parade of nations, awards/closing ceremonies.  For the total experience, all of this is taken into account when establishing travel dates and pricing.  However, we can also customize travel packages to fit individual needs.

I have lots of frequent flyer miles, can I use them for my airline ticket?

Yes, you can use frequent flyer miles to secure your air travel. However, you must contact the airline directly for your booking.

I have booked my own airfare, can you still assist me with travel services?

Yes.  PPS can assist you with land and tour arrangements.  We are unable to assist you with issues relating to your airfare, such as changes, lost luggage and delayed flights.  We do provide those services for those who have purchased airfare through PPS.

Do you offer bike waivers with your trips?

PPS does not offer bike waivers, but does provide a list of airlines which do not charge for bikes.  Select travel packages may also include bike waivers.

What type of travel documents do I need for your trips?

If you are traveling with a U.S. passport, a minimum validity of six months is required for international destinations. Visas may be required for some destinations.  Brazil, for example, requires a Visa.

I have to cancel my trip. What should I do?

Cancellation of bookings must be done in writing and will be accepted via fax or e-mail only.  We attempt to secure all refunds within 30 days of notification. Please note: third party comments for refunds will not be accepted.  We will not accept any customer service issues or refund requests 60 days after the date of your scheduled trip.

Do you provide prices in local currency?

All prices and payments for PPS services are in U.S. dollars.

Do you organize roommates for your trips?

We do not coordinate roommates for trips.

Do you recommend travel insurance?

Yes. Because travel is tied to participation in a sporting event, we recommend trip cancellation/interruption insurance on the off-chance of injury prior to or during event participation.  We recommend Access America. If interested, you can enroll at www.premiumplus-sports.com.
